Made in Roath

Volunteered by helping tiny people make their first items on a pottery wheel; introducing them to throwing. I arrived at 09:30 on Saturday morning at the location in Roath, and helped set up the stall alongside Ross. Ross then centred the clay for the children, so they could begin working on it, one at a time (we only had the one wheel) while I took on the more didactic side of things. It was rewarding; so exhausting, as we had a steady stream of children working on the wheel from 10:00 until 14:30… We always had a queue! It was just so worth it to see the enthusiasm of the children, to help nurture their curiosity about a medium I myself am so passionate about.
