Spode Class Outing

The trip to Spode was very exciting and thought-provoking; it felt very special to be in such a historically important place.  So much English pottery was made there, and so many people once worked there.  One of my highlights from the trip was being able to see part of the genesis of 3D-printed ceramics, with some of the first machinery for that purpose being on display there, and actually working! I spoke with the guy as well and he told me many interesting things about the programmes useable and about the unique problems and challenges one faces with ceramics rather than plastics or glass as a material. I made notes too, of course!
