All-pervasive willows

Olly Moss, 8-bit willow plate

I remember coming across Olly Moss’s work some years ago, on an image-sharing website.

Populated by self-proclaimed geeks, it was a good breeding ground for internet and gaming-related paraphernalia to come up unannounced, along with the usual memes.

In September when the class went to London to see the V&A Ceramics gallery I noticed that they had acquired a plate by Moss.  Ecstatic, I was so glad to see something that was so much a part of my childhood and a part of my journey as a ceramist treasured in the V&A’s collection with other precious works from the past.
