W11: all in. A day’s work

Lots of sculpting today. I had a series of solid porcelain houses, so by using reduction st Thomas clay to make greenware molds of these houses, I pressed Porcelain into the greenware. Then, in order to retrieve the new houses, which now had additional surface texture because of the different clay, I had to remove the greenware ‘shell’. it was a very exciting process. They’re ‘ex shell’ houses!!!!!! I’m making them both as glaze tests but also as small finished works in their own right.

The originally solid houses have also since been carved into and hollowed out using lino tools.
